Greetings from Dr. Martha Grout!
We'd like to give you a heads up on our Free Lecture Series. This is our gift to you. We believe in sharing health-related information with you and we want to give you a way to share this expert information with your friends and family.
The Free Lecture Series takes place at the Arizona Center for Advanced Medicine on Monday evenings, from 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM. We serve yummy snacks, so bring a friend or loved one. It's free, informative, and fun!
Upcoming Twice-Monthly lectures:
January 7 - "Clean Up Your Diet"
Do you look in the mirror and feel you look a bit like Santa Claus with a big waistline? Find out more about metabolic syndrome, high cholesterol, HTN, and high blood sugar. Learn the difference between "going on a diet" (which generally fails by the way), and changing to nutrient-dense foods which heal your body naturally and get that bathroom scale moving toward the smaller number you want.
January 21 - "Genetically Modified Food"
What happens when the genetic blueprints of fruits, grains, and vegetables are being restructured with conglomerations of DNA from viruses, bacteria, insects, and animals? GMO-ed foods were allowed on the market without human clinical trials or post-marketing surveillance. Some say these foods are altering our reproductive abilities and contributing to cancer and disease. Don't eat in the dark.
February 11 - "Hypnosis for Healing and Health"
The power of the mind to control the body is legendary. When your memories or attitudes cause illness in the body, how do you get the mind to surrender its hold on physical health? Steven Swerdfeger, PhD, CH, uses hypnosis to access the subconscious mind where negative emotions fester. Find out how restoring balance to one's psyche can bring powerful healing.
February 25 - "Our Toxic World"
Best selling author Dr. Doris Rapp will be with us to explain how chemicals we are exposed to every day build up inside our bodies and can make us sick. You would be surprised what chemicals lurk in your lipstick, shampoo, and even in your car that are known carcinogens. If you know what to look for, you can avoid the dangers. Dr. Rapp, heralded as "the mother of environmental medicine," will clue you in on the unseen toxic world.
March 10 - "Allergies Are More Than Just Ragweed"
Increasingly, people have allergic reactions to chemicals, hormones, mold, and yeast as well as foods and pollen. How can you be diagnosed efficiently? We are one of the few medical offices in the United States with the capability to make preservative-free antigens. Can they help you or someone in your family who suffers from allergic reactions?
March 24 - "Classical Homeopathy"
Aaron Means, MA, HMA, will be with us to explain why this form of medicine endures and is becoming even more popular as people want to avoid the side effects of prescription drugs. Homeopathic medicine is a form of energy medicine. Many literary greats advocated for homeopathy including Ralph Waldo Emerson, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, Louisa May Alcott, Mark Twain, Lord Alfred Tennyson, and George Bernard Shaw.
So join us for an evening.
Give yourself the gift of knowledge.
It's free.
It's healthy.
We look forward to seeing you!
Dr. Grout and the staff of the Arizona Center for Advanced Medicine.
